Application & surface

Fitted to the glass you have

Folio is specified against existing glazing rather than a new structure, so the questions are weight, pitch and how much of the window stays transparent.

Weight comes first

At under 5 kg per square metre the film is carried by the glazing itself in most applications, which is what removes the steelwork from the budget.

  • Under 5 kg/m²
  • Applied to existing glass
  • Wall-mounted application

Pitches for different glass

P5-10 and P6.5 cover wide façades and mall glazing; P4-8 is the tier for windows people stand close to.

  • 5 × 10 / 6.5 / 4 × 8 mm pitch
  • Module 1000 × 80 / 52 / 64 mm
  • Static driving mode

Splicing and mounting

The two drawings a project actually needs before the wall is built: how the cabinets splice, and how the wall hangs. All figures from the released cabinet drawing.

Indoor glazing rating

IP30 covers indoor shopfronts, partitions and protected atriums. External glazing is quoted as a project variation.

Brightness across the day

Output runs from 1000 to 5000 cd/m² on the Standard and Ultra tiers and 4000 cd/m² on Lite, which lets a window follow the daylight instead of fighting it.

  • 1000 – 5000 cd/m² (Standard and Ultra)
  • 16 bit grey scale
  • 3840 Hz refresh

FAQ

Before you specify

How much does it weigh?

Under 5 kg per square metre across all three tiers, which is why most glazing carries it without new steelwork.

Can it go on external glazing?

The rating is IP30, which covers indoor and protected applications. External glazing is quoted as a project variation.

Which pitch for a shopfront?

P5-10 or P6.5 for large glazing seen from the street; P4-8 where people stand close to the window.

Does it block the view through the glass?

The film is applied to part of the glazing, and the remaining area stays clear. How much you cover is a design decision, not a product limit.

Next step

Tell us the glass,
we size the panels

Send your glazing dimensions, viewing distance and how much of the window should stay clear — we reply with a panel layout, the matched tier and a quotation.
